As practicing professionals, we are intimately familiar with all of the issues we at VeraSage have taken on. Most of us, at one time or another questioned or second guessed whether Ron Baker’s (and others before him) compelling logic would work in the “real world” of our firms, day in and day out.
Now, as shown by our numbers, more and more practitioners are learning the benefits of shedding timesheets, thrilling customers by establishing their pricing and delivery expectations up front, and making our businesses better places to work so we attract and retain excellent people.

Proving our point, we have several member categories:
Skeptic/Dissenter
Challenge us, disagree, raise your concerns. All we ask is that you remain polite and professional as you voice your disagreement with us or other visitors of our site. This member status lets us know we have colleagues who challenge our ideas. As Clarence Darrow said: “To think is to differ.” Progress is made only through dissension, not consensus, so we welcome all Skeptics and Dissenters into our community.
Understudy
This level choice indicates you want to know more and may, at some future date, wish to implement value pricing or other progressive practices in your business. For now, you are in learning mode—a sponge.
Pioneer
Even though a couple hundred professional service firms (true Trailblazers) have implemented Value Pricing, Trashed their Timesheets, and respected their Knowledge Workers, others beginning this move are still early adopters compared to the extraordinary number of firms/businesses that remain mired in the old, impaired ways of doing business.
Members of VeraSage are people, not firms. A business cannot join, but the people within the business can.
All the member types above will be listed on our site as a member-type of your choosing (above). Upon joining, your location will feed our “People by Geography” page and map (coming very soon) and your shared contact information will feed into our on-line member list.
VeraSage’s earliest Trailblazers are recognized as Founders, Senior Fellows and Fellows.
